Cancellation –if you require to cancel or re-arrange a lesson(s) please provide as much notice as possible but not less than 24 hours. I will only cancel a lesson in exceptional circumstances and will offer the earliest possible alternative date(s).

Refunds- in the event that a block of lessons is purchased and the full block is not used, I will make a pro-rata refund by electronic bank transfer.

Payment – fees must be paid by direct transfer to my nominated bank account within 24 hours of the lesson date unless otherwise agreed.

Personal Information - all personal information will be used to deliver the service intended and all information will be kept strictly confidential. Please refer to my Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property - All content on this website e.g. information, logos, images, templates, forms, trademarks and tradenames are my property and cannot be used or reproduced without my prior written permission.
Student’s Obligations to me

Road Traffic Act – you must be fit and able to drive, possess a current, clean UK Provisional Driving Licence. Any disqualification, endorsement, penalty points or pending traffic convictions must be brought to my immediate attention. Any reason, medical or otherwise, why you cannot drive or impairs your ability to drive must be brought to my attention immediately and prior to the commencement of a lesson.

Safety - Driving, particularly in the early stage of learning is potentially hazardous. I will take all reasonable steps to ensure your safety and that you have an enjoyable and worthwhile learning experience, however you should also try and do your best so as to prevent injury or accident to yourself or others. Please listen carefully to what you are asked to do and don’t hesitate to ask me to repeat instructions or explanations.

Commencing your driving lessons - At the start of your first lesson I will ask you to sign a form stating that you have read and understood my 'Terms of Business' and that you agree to the use of your personal information so that I comply with GDPR legislation. I will also ask that you bring your Provisional Driving Licence and complete an eyesight check (read a car registration plate at a minimum of 20.5 metres old style number plate or 20m for the new style). I will also draw your attention to your responsibility to comply with all aspects of the Road Traffic Act concerning alcohol and drugs.

Additional Resource - Prior to starting your lessons please bring to my attention any obstacle you may have, either physical or learning, so that I may provide appropriate additional resource and tailor your lesson accordingly.

Complaint – if at any point during your driver training you are not happy with any aspect please raise this with me immediately. I will of course do anything I can to rectify the situation as best I can. Please raise any such matter, no matter how small or trivial as soon as you can, either at the end or before the start of each lesson.

My Qualifications - The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), part of the Department for the Environment, Transport and Regions, is the body that examines, licences and controls the standards of all driving instructors in the UK. I am registered with the DSA as an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and assessed as Grade A at my last standards check.

Professional Standards – I am fully disclosure checked and able to work with young and / or vulnerable people. I will act in an entirely professional manner and in accordance with all aspects of the ADI Code of Practice.

Weather Conditions – I will determine whether road conditions are suitable to commence or continue a lesson and whether the lesson is cancelled or abandoned.

Student Appointment & Progress Log - At the start of your course I will provide you with a Student Appointment & Progress Record; you will find this a very useful learning tool allowing you the opportunity to reflect on each lesson, review your progress and establish what you may wish to focus on in order to improve your driving skills.

My Vehicles – all my vehicles are leased through the manufacturer on a full maintenance basis ensuring they are maintained and serviced by franchised dealerships to manufacturer requirements.

Complaints – I will listen to any feedback and take steps to deal with any complaint so that you get the best outcome from your lessons.
